Rihanna trained by military experts for new film role
Rihanna has revealed that she received a military-style drilling to prepare her for her first movie role in Battleship.

The California King Bed singer had to undergo training before playing the part of an FBI agent who joins the Navy to fight aliens.

She was put through her paces by armed forces personnel who had served in Iraq and ensured that the star had an authentic experience of military life.

"They pretty much came and drilled me. This one man, Donald, he pretty much drilled me, yelled at me, cursed me … made me do pushups. Everything," Rihanna said.

"I was so scared. I just stood there and looked at him like, 'I swear I'm going to get it right, I swear, I swear, I swear I'll be good.'"

Music fans will be ordering Rihanna tickets to see the performer in more familiar surroundings when she plays venues such as the O2, Liverpool's Echo Arena and Glasgow's SECC in the autumn.
