Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Divorce 2011: Why did they split?

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz officially finalizedivorce on 22nd November 2011 after three and a half years of marriage and 10 months after their shocking split. There were no details about the financial or custody situations, the specifics of their 103-page settlement agreement and custody arrangements for the couple's 3-year-old son, Bronx. It is said that the couple have worked out a “secret deal” regarding the division of their other assets and multi-million dollar empire. The two also vowed to maintain a post-divorce friendship and make home life as "easy as possible" for Bronx Mowgli. He said, “Everything at home is good. We try to make his life as easy to navigate as possible and he's growing up so it's important for everyone who loves him to be involved with his life”. Over some last few months, Pete Wentz was said to have been dating with a brunette model named Meagan Camper and Simpson is prominently spotted out and about Boardwalk Empire star Vincent Piazza.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have been together since 2006. While Ashlee stated, “The first day that we met we were attracted to each other”, the rocker Pete Wentz said, “We were dating other people [but] we were actually good. Neither one of us did anything”

The couple celebrated Simpson's 23rd birthday by dressing as an '80s prom couple in October 2007. Talking about the new man, the "Pieces of Me" singer said, “I've always liked guys that have an inner geek. I'm an inner geek myself”

Simpson gave birth to a baby boy Bronx Mowgli November 20, 2008 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She shared, “Motherhood is the most fantastic experience I have ever been through”
