A new report compiled by The Boston Consulting Group has highlighted top ten countries with biggest percent of millionaire households. In addition, the number of ultra-high-net-worth households in each country is also numbered. The ranking is based on assets under management, market funds, onshore and offshore assets. Singapore, the most expensive location for living in 2011, has the greatest concentration ofmillionaire households in the world.
Singapore
Reportedly, Singapore has a total of 170,000 millionaire households. An average of 5 in 100,000 households have extra network of fortune. This occurrence happens thanks to the fact that Singapore is the most preferable destination for offshore wealth.
Percent of households with $1 million in wealth: 15.5%
Qatar
Approximately six out of 100,000 households in Qatar has more than $1 million in wealth
Kuwait
Eight out of 100,000 households in Kuwait are ultra-high-net-worth and the percent of families with $1 million in wealth is 8.5%
United States
The United States of America has the highest number of millionaire households (5.2 million millionaire households) and 2,692 households with holds with more than $100 million
Switzerland
Thanks to the number of 330,000 millionaire households, Switzerland has the second highest percent (9.9%) of households with $1 million in wealth.
Hong Kong
Hong Kong has 223 ultra-high-net-worth households and is the third largest in terms of ultra-high-net-worth households
UAE
The UAE has 5 percent of million households among the population and five in 100,000 households are of ultra-high-net-worth
Taiwan
Taiwan has 3.5 percent of households with $1 million in wealth which accounts for 280,000 millionaire households
