Most Beautiful Miss Universe 1952-2010 Contest: Miss USA Reach The Bottom


An interesting contest named “The Most Beautiful Miss Universe 1952-2010” has been hosted by the website globalbeauties.com to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Miss Universe. Fifteen pageant experts take part in scoring contestants who won Miss Universe crown between 1952 and 2010. Surprisingly, the U.S., home to seven Miss Universe titleholders, reaches the contest’s bottom because four of Miss Universe winners from this country are ranked at the end of this list.

Miriam Stevenson (USA): Miss Universe 1954
Miriam Jacqueline Stevenson from South Carolina, USA took part in the 3rd edition of Miss Universe in 1954 and became the first Miss USA to hold the Miss Universe beauty crown. After the success, she decided to complete her education and then hosted television shows for the local NBC affiliate in Columbia, WIS-TV.

Linda Bement (USA): Miss Universe 1960
Linda Bement was the second woman in Utah and the third Miss USA to be Miss Universe titleholder. The 1960 Miss Universe was the first pageant to be televised nationwide. This beauty got married in 1962 but divorced seven years later and had two children.

Chelsi Mariam Pearl Smith became the first Miss USA to win Miss Universe crown on May 12, 1995 in fifteen years. In addition to working as a professional model, she also followed singing and acting career.

Deborah Carthy-Deu (Puerto Rico, an unincorporated territory of US): Miss Universe 1985
Deborah Carthy-Deu successfully competed with 78 candidates to become the second Miss Puerto Rico to conquer the Miss Universe title. Then, she has been an excellent television presenter and owned a modeling school in Puerto Rico for future models, actresses and beauty queens. The beauty gave birth to her first son in 1999 at the age of 43.

Brook Lee (USA): Miss Universe 1997
Brook Lee became the 7th American woman to be crowned Miss Universe in Miami Beach. Although the 1997 pageant saw many impressive beauties and Lee left behind traditional schools of beauty, she was still the winner particularly thanks to her sense of humor and intelligence.
