The troubled country music star Mindy McCready was reported missing and carrying her five-year-old son on Florida on November 30, 2011. However, the singer has appeared to deny the missing news as well as to deny kidnapping her son.
It has spread on the internet that Florida authorities are searching for Mindy McCready, who is five months pregnant with twins, and her 5-year-old son. Police said that McCready, 36, and her son disappeared after she picked him up from her father’s house in Cape Coral, Florida on Tuesday.
According to the Department of Children and Families, Florida police has received a missing persons report on Tuesday night. A judge has even warned that unless McCready must return the child by 5 p.m Thursday, she would face arrest.
Mindy McCready is notorious as a deeply troubled star who has a history of suicide attempts, domestic abuse, drug and drunk-driving arrests and a stint in rehab. The singer doesn’t have the right to take care of her son Zander, but her parents does. However, McCready was allowed to visit the boy at her father's home.
However, singer Mindy McCready has appeared to deny the missing and insisted that she and her son are safe. The country singer also said that there was never a missing person reported released. Her brother Josh McCready also told the AP in a private Facebook message that “Mindy is fine and so is Zander. There is nothing to worry about.”
Mindy McCready also mailed to Access Hollywood Wednesday saying “I am working with lawyers to try to get all this straightened out, I did not steal my child, as it would be impossible for me to kidnap what already belongs to me! There never was any missing persons report and never an Amber Alert.”
Mindy McCready became engaged to actor Dean Cain in 1997 and split with him one year later. McCready's life went out of control since 2004. In 2005, McCready's ex-boyfriend Billy McKnight – the father of her son Zander was arrested and accused of attempting murder after trying to strangle the singer.
