2012 Grammy Nominations: Complete List and 54th Grammy Awards Predictions

The 2012 Grammy Awards (54th Annual Grammy Awards) are over two months from now in February 2011 but music fans are already heated up with full nominations announced on Wednesday's “Grammy Nominations Concert Live – Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night” November 30. It seems that aside from the omnipresent Kanye West, the February 2012 event on CBS will be the lady show as the finest females are leading the pack with the most nominations.

Among the nominees, Rapper West was atop the field with seven nominations including "All of the Lights" for song of the year, best rap/sung collaboration and best rap song, "Otis" for the best rap performance and best rap song categories. The critically-acclaimed English songstress Adele, who is tied with the Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars for six nods each, snagged a whopping six nods. The reigning queen of emotions nominations included record of the year and song of the year for her single "Rolling in the Deep," and album of the year for her best-selling 21. Lady Gaga, a star expected to have as high a profile as Adele, has just one chance to compete in a pivotal slot: Album for “Born This Way”. This year’s Grammys has caused considerable controversy for hacking down its list of over 100 categories to feature just 78.
